Red and Yellow Mountain Frog – Back from the Brink

Imagine you’re a tiny frog, adorned in bright gold and red. Only a handful of people know you exist amongst the cloud forest mountain tops of South East Queensland. You’re well adapted to your home there but climate change is causing your safe mountain top to become ever drier and warmer, and clearing of land isolates your mountain refuge so that you can’t meet other frogs. This is the story of the Red and Yellow Mountain Frog.

The ‘Back from the Brink’ series is the first of its kind to exhibit a series of short stories about South East Queensland’s most threatened plants and animals, what is happening to them, and how we can save them from extinction. Throughout 2018 we will showcase a plethora of amazing creatures from hammerhead sharks to giant orchids, as well as the incredible people dedicating their lives to saving them.

We all know about extinction, but it’s not just happening to elephants and tigers. We are losing species quite literally from our very own backyards. Be a part of the change and learn what you can do to help!

If you would like to know more about this project or would like to be involved in some way contact us today.
