Our team prepared an Open Space Management Statement (OSMS) in 2014-2015 for a proposed community title development in Mudgeeraba Qld. The project involved a review of the existing and proposed open space in the surrounding developments along with an overview of the development layout to define the extent of potential impact and outline measures and strategies for the conservation of natural attributes on the site. Providing information to address compliance requirements for local government was a significant factor to be addressed along with providing a selection of recommendations for open space design elements in order to cater for conservation of native habitats and ecological functions. Most of the site area had canopy tree cover, with a large portion of these trees being retained as part of the approved development and subsequently donated to council as public open space. Additionally, rehabilitation works were also required under the approval to repair the structural layering, particularly within the understorey as part of the ongoing maintenance strategy for the development.    – ENVIRONMENTAL PLANNING – REHABILITATION PLANNING – ENVIRONMENTAL CONSULTING –
