Following on from a previous article titled ‘Extinction is forever – and it is happening all around us‘ we wanted to follow up throughout 2017 on a much more positive note: by undertaking a series of videos which showcase the incredible work of so many people, who put in tireless efforts to try and reverse the number of extinctions in our modern world. Our aim is to put together a new video each month where we can look more closely at the research and restoration work that is currently going on to protect and restore endangered and threatened species here in South East Queensland alone.

To start the year we travelled to Logan Shire to the south of Brisbane to look at the plight of the Swamp Tea Tree (Melaleuca irbyana)…

Our thanks to Logan City Council for supporting this video series. You can find alot more valuable information about Melaleuca irbyana¬†and other threatened plants on Logan City Council’s website so take a look.
